Mass General Brigham is currently seeking a dedicated RN to join our Radiation Oncology team at our prestigious facility in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional, competent, and compassionate nursing care to Radiation Oncology patients and their families
• Assess patient vital signs and monitor for symptoms of radiation side effects
• Administer medications, infusions, and provide patient and caregiver teaching
• Manage the recovery of patients post-radiation treatment, especially when anesthesia is involved
• Assist in mobilizing patients as needed, including transferring to exam chairs and accommodating patients during procedures
• Collaborate with patients and their support systems to meet their individual needs and expectations
• Ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, and timely, while also considering the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and their support system
• Communicate effectively and coordinate patient care with physicians, advanced practice providers, radiation therapists, and medical assistants
• Use clinical computer applications like Mosaiq and Epic to effectively manage and document patient information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required
• Previous experience in caring for adult patient populations is preferred
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Specialty certification is preferred
• Oncology nursing experience is preferred
• Proficiency in email and Microsoft applications, including Excel, is required
• Experience with health information technology, such as Epic, is required
• Phlebotomy skills are required
• Basic Life Support Certification is recommended
• Experience with clinical applications is recommended
