Job Description

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist. Administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Consults with radiation oncologists and other clinical staff as needed.

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional
