The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Kirtland Air Force Base is searching for a Radio Frequency Systems Engineer (DR-0855-02, GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:
Come join the Space Force and work Radio Frequency (RF) engineering systems for science and technology! Leads or independently performs RF system analysis to support program objectives and system testing goals through professional engineering and scientific work involving the application of principles, techniques, methods and procedures related to aerospace, electronics, electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Provides subject matter expertise to review, analyze and assess RF systems provided by contractors, for both space and terrestrial equipment/applications. Develops computational tools to analyze space-based radar imagery and RF signals. Applies aerospace, electrical, and/or mechanical engineering practices, techniques, and processes to assist in identifying and resolving research/data issues related to space vehicles.
The ideal candidate will possess Radio Frequency engineering experience and/or knowledge preferred. Focus on development of tools to analyze space-based radar imagery, and RF signals.
Requirements:
1. This position is eligible for fully remote work or on-site with an option to telework 2-4 days per period.
2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
3. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
4. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
5. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
6. PCS funding is available.
