Aspirus is currently seeking a RADIOLOGY TECH ASSISTANT at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI. The Radiology Tech Assistant will facilitate the completion of radiographic procedures while working under the direction of a registered technologist. The Rad Tech Assistant will assist with staff coverage for vacations, possible weekend assistance and other duties under the direction of the Radiology Department Manager or supervisor, or designated Lead/Supervisory Technologist.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program and successfully completed the first year of training.

• Specific competencies for general radiography procedures must also be met.

• Must be in good academic and clinical standing with accredited radiology program.

Hours: This position is temporary/occasional/as needed. Retirement plan available.

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
