This position may be required to work nights, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Why does the job exist?

This position will provide Radiology services in an Acute Care setting.

How does it get done?

This position will explain procedures to patients and answer questions, prepare equipment for use as needed, prepare examination rooms for patient exams, position patients for imaging exams and ensure safety of patients during exams.

The staff, patients, and community.

Ideal Candidate

-Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations.
- Knowledge of radiologic safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.
- Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

Minimum Qualification

Radiographic Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R)(ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by State of New Mexico and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.

Employment Requirements

Must posses a valid drivers license and successfully pass a background check.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a hospital setting and may be bending and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
