THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT POSITION
To render highly professional and technical cardiopulmonary care to assigned patients. Provides quality diagnostic and therapeutic care to achieve the highest standards of care specific to the age of the patient.
EDUCATION
Certificate of completion from an American Medical Association Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program possessing CRT certification and licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care. All RRT therapists required to be RRT credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care maintain the requirements necessary to retain the designation.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT POSITION
- 4-6 WEEK DURATION WITH POSSIBILITY OF RENEWAL
- Rotating work week on nights - 48 hours one week followed by 36 hours the next.
- Rate of Pay $55/hour, overtime after 40 hours
- No shift diffs or other premium pay

EXPERIENCE
- One year experience in a Respiratory Care hospital type setting preferred.
- Strong skills in intubation required
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
- Must be licensed by the state of North Carolina as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- All RRT RCP therapists by RRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care. They are required to maintain that status.
OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated understanding of patient care needs according to the developmental stages for various age groups.
- BCLS training required.
- ACLS and NRP strongly encouraged.
- Strong Customer Focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens, infectious and contagious diseases requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
- Contact with cleaning agents, chemicals, and some toxic chemicals may also require use of PPE.
- Subject to stressful work periods and long irregular hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walking and standing throughout shift; lifting patients daily with assistance.
- Pushes and/or pulls or carries equipment throughout shift.
