SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)

Job Purpose

As an R&D Chemist, you will be an integral part of our Semiconductor Assembly Adhesives Development team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in adhesive materials research and development for semiconductor packaging applications. The primary purpose for this chemist is to contribute to the development and testing of advanced adhesive materials for semiconductor packaging. You will work closely with our team of scientists and engineers to conduct experiments, analyze data, and assist in the formulation and optimization of adhesive solutions that play a critical role in enhancing the performance and reliability of semiconductor devices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Hold self to highest standards on safety. Committed to build strong safety culture in all laboratory and related activities.
  • Collaborate with senior scientists and engineers to develop and test adhesive formulations for semiconductor packaging.
  • Conduct experiments and tests to characterize adhesive properties, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Assist in the scale-up and optimization of adhesive production processes.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
  • Analyze and interpret data, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.
  • Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment. Self-motivated. Team oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical information effectively and concisely to engineering, sales, technicians, etc.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in chemistry, materials science, and laboratory techniques.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow experimental procedures accurately.
  • Working knowledge of formulation optimization strategies and DOE techniques.
  • Solid foundation in statistics for material development.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Eagerness to embrace challenges, solve problems, and contribute to innovative solutions.
