React Native Developer (Android/iOS)

Insight Global is looking for a React Native Developer for one of their large media and entertainment clients. This is a remote opportunity, contract to hire and will work pacific standard time. We are looking for someone that has recently built React Native apps for Android/iOS. This person is joining the team that is responsible for the Connected TV experience. This team has a tight deadline to launch a new set of features across 6 platforms including Video on Demand, bookmarks, favorites lists and known authentication/known profile. As the primary React Native developer on the CTV team, you are responsible for new feature development, enhancements, bug fixes, and code deployment. This is a greenfield project and it will be this person's responsibility to develop this from scratch. We are ideally looking for someone that has built multiple react native applications for either smart tv, iOS or Android.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of development experience

3-5 years of experience with React-Native development for smartTV, iOS or Android

Experience building multiple React-Native apps and any experience building them from the ground up is a bonus

Expertise in React principles such as virtual DOM (or VDOM), component lifecycle, component state, hooks, and props

Experience taking on Lead responsibilities such as mentoring junior developers

Proficiency in React Native tools and technologies such as Visual Studio Code, Jest, ESLint, and others

Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and JSON

Current relevant experience developing for SmartTV, set-top, or OTT platforms
