Description

As a Real Estate and Workplace Solutions Intern, you will gain practical experience in various areas related to corporate real estate, facilities management, finance and accounting, operations, and project management. This internship provides an opportunity to learn and contribute to critical functions within the organization. The internship duration may vary, but typically, internships last 10-12 weeks during the summer or academic terms. Participating in this internship will provide exposure to real-world scenarios in corporate real estate and facility management. You will also gain networking opportunities with professionals in the industry, practical skills development, and mentorship.

Primary Responsibilities
Corporate Real Estate
• Participate in portfolio strategy meetings to understand lease negotiations and property acquisitions.
• Support the digital transformation of lease accounting files and government audits.

Facilities Management
• Learn about building maintenance, space planning, and workplace design.
• Assist in coordinating facility repairs, renovations, and upgrades.
• Gain insight into energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
• Assist with special events and meetings.

Project Management
• Learn about the real estate project management lifecycle for facility projects.
• Attend routine project update meetings.
• Learn about risk assessments and mitigation strategies during project execution.

Finance and Business Operations
• Understand financial analysis related to real estate investments.
• Assist in budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Learn about capital expenditure planning and forecasting.
• Gain insight into business operation decision-making.
• Assist in testing business intelligence tools designed to improve business operations.

Additional Tasks
• Handle miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors or managers, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn.
• Participate in training sessions or workshops to develop skills and knowledge relevant to the company and industry.
• Assist in drafting internal communications such as memos, newsletters, or announcements for employees.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, answering phone calls, and responding to emails.

Basic Qualifications
• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in RE&WS related fields (Finance/Accounting, Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science).
• Must have experience working with Microsoft Platforms
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently (writing and verbal) to a wide range of audiences
• Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrates the ability to think critically and self-starter.
• Experience contributing in a team environment, maintaining a positive attitude, and being a team player who can work well with individuals from all levels of an organization.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with various audiences and against a deadline.

Pay Range: Pay Range $38,350.00 - $69,325.00
