Job Description

The position of receiving coordinator will support the supervisors in their respective roles that include the return of freight back to vendors, supporting and reaching out to vendors and purchasing team to get shipment details when vendors forget to provide Carnival details etc. This role will also support in moving freight when needed with forklift, reach truck or pallet jack. In addition, logging and keeping track of shipments being sent back to mailroom for return to vendor will be required, learning the vendor list to create excel trucking sheets for drivers to gain access to the ports and reviewing container and air shipments and reviewing any large shipments that may need loadings plans. Also provide guidance and support in truck ordering by reviewing report to understand the exact number/load.

Job Functions:
  • Resolving shipments issues that arrive with no paperwork or missing important details like vessel name or P.O including Amazon shipments
  • Act as liaison between corporate port ops and warehouse for Grand Turk/Mahogany Bay shipments
  • Returning freight back to vendors via mailroom or via assigned carrier
  • Work through and process the different Vendor Lists throughout the team/department
  • Reviewing container and air freight pre-alerts for large shipments so a loading plan can be requested to the vessel. Maintain load plans provided by team members.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned
  • Prepare pallet counts for frozen/refrigerated food consolidations and order trucks and trailers.
  • Assist with warehouse inquiries and projects related to warehouse
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma required
  • Work Experience: Minimum 1-2 years relatedexperience or training in warehouse operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of keeping track and logging of orders to support in reverse logistics.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work different shifts
  • Must be able to speak and write in English
  • Able to work in warehouse environment
  • Be able to lift 30-50 pound boxes if need or required
  • Bi-lingual with ability to speak Spanish.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Ability to drive a forklift and reach truck if needed or have the basic knowledge of using this type of equipment if needed.
  • Reporting and Infoship or similar system knowledge.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended period of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time.

Travel:No travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends as needed.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
