Job Summary/Basic Function

Position will support all aspects of daily shipping, receiving and distribution of all inbound and outbound Weber State University packages and mail, with an emphasis on Wildcat Stores packages and other materials in accordance with university policies and applicable State and Federal guidelines. Ensure the highest level of customer service in responding to and meeting all university mail and shipping/receiving needs. Must be able to operate campus vehicles (i.e. Delivery vans, flatbed trucks, box trucks, etc.). Must also be flexible and become cross trained in all aspects of the warehouse operations. (i.e. Receiving/distribution process, Mailroom process, etc.).

Required Qualifications

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of related experience & knowledge in shipping/receiving/distribution, mail, & overall warehouse operations
  • Computer experience (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)
  • Valid Utah driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:
  • Experience operating FedEx equipment/outbound shipments
  • Logistics experience
  • Mail & package tracking software experience
  • Budget management experience
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills at all levels (Both written & verbal)
  • Ability to adapt & easily become cross trained in all other warehouse areas
A successful candidate will have the following:

Ability to learn the overall job functions of the entire warehouse operations.
