The Receptionist is an entry-level clerical role that performs a variety of routine, standardized, well-defined tasks following standard policies and procedures. The position provides resolutions to problems that have been clearly defined and refers non-routine issues to the supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Covers the Dean's Office Hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; provides front-line customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to email inquiries, and distributing mail; informs supervisor of potentially controversial matters or other key issues; prepares materials for meetings as instructed; handles confidential and time-sensitive materials; and prepares correspondence.
Works alongside student office assistants; compiles and prepares documents, reports, folders, and charts; maintains office supply inventory; tracks and compiles data; researches and prepares reports as instructed' coordinates with departmental administrative associates; assists with preparing mailings; participates in and assists with special events and banquets for the Dean's Office; and assists with ad hoc organization and projects for the Dean's office
Maintains cleanliness and stock the Dean's office kitchen, storage closet, and Maytag Conference Room; prepares space for events/meetings; receives catering orders; and handles setup/cleanup prior to and following meetings, onsite retreats, and luncheons.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
