The receptionist/secretary will be responsible for meeting, greeting, and screening incoming guests in a warm and welcoming manner. Provides scheduling and registration service for referring physicians and patients to assist in the delivery of health care. Schedules and coordinates all outpatient imaging procedures with patients, physicians, Radiologist, Technologists and other hospital departments. Verifies insurance contract requirements when scheduling exams and reminds the patient of these requirements. Briefly explains procedures to patients and families. Answers telephone calls for department staff and physicians. Provides back-up for other areas as indicated in Diagnostic Imaging. Customer service is a key component of all duties. Provides back-up for the Data Coordinator of Radiology and provides scheduling services needed for Diagnostic Imaging to include Interventional Radiology, to include pre and post calls to patients in numerous modalities. Coordinates daily activities at receptionist desks and to accurate records of patient's appointments, examinations and related information within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Associates Degree : in related field (Preferred)

Experience
2 Years experience in a secretarial or clerical/general office position (Required)
1 Year experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
