HHS Behavioral Health Division Policy - Remote - Recovery Administrator

As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will work on a team ensuring individuals have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recovery.

As a Recovery Administrator, you will be responsible to guide strategies to increase access to quality recovery services across the state for individuals with a substance use disorder.

Every day, you will:

Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Recovery Housing Assistance Program (RHAP). This includes monitoring the program's budget and financial projections, processing and reviewing applications and invoices for payment. Conduct strategic planning to ensure efficient and effective operations of the program and implement improvements.

Implement strategic planning activities to increase recovery support services such as conducting procurement needs, overseeing budgets, contract management, evaluation of services, providing training and technical assistance for quality services.

Work closely with a team and the peer support administrator in implementing efforts to increase peer support services and parent / caregiver peer support services including certification and training and technical assistance for peer support specialists and parent / care giver peer support services.

The Recovery Administrator will collaborate with internal team members on numerous behavioral health projects and work with external stakeholders and partners to support behavioral health objectives.

To thrive in this position, you should be:

Able to work independently and as part of a team as you must be self-motivated to manage tasks efficiently on your own while also collaborating effectively with the internal behavioral health division policy team and external stakeholders and providers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to think critically to identify operational barriers and develop and implement solutions will be crucial for this position. To be successful at this position a candidate will need to be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines at time, with ability to shift priorities and adjust to changing circumstances while maintaining a high level of performance. The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with Microsoft Office with ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for managing budget tracking and budget projections. Most importantly, the best person for this position will be recovery oriented with a commitment and passion to improve access to quality recovery services for individuals experiencing addiction.

To be considered for this position, you are required to have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or a combination of education, training and experience.

Location:

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work from home anywhere in North Dakota with the ability and willingness to work during regular business hours.Some travel required.
