Recruitment Specialist - PDC
Position Summary:
The incumbent directs and coordinates high volume recruiting across all hourly positions for their assigned
location. The position's focus includes sourcing, talent identification, relationship management and
acquisition for The GIANT Company Perishable Distribution Center. This position is responsible for
achieving quantity and quality hiring goals through development and execution of the company's overall
staffing strategy, ensuring that the employment brand, sourcing strategy, and selection activities reflect the
values and culture of the compan
Essential Functions:
- In partnership with PDC and HR leadership team, assess current and future business needs and develop
strategic staffing plans to meet company objectives; Effectively partner with HR Business Partner team and
leadership team members to develop and implement strategies to attract, evaluate, acquire, and retain high
performing employees.
- Design and implement best in class, inventive, and creative sourcing strategies that meet business needs and
which create a pipeline of diverse, high caliber talent for the organization. Introduce and test new specialized
strategies to meet specific business goals.
- Serve as subject matter expert and consultant to the HR and the leadership teams on talent acquisition and
retention strategies. Educate internal partners on best practices in sourcing, legal requirements, interviewing
skills, developmental programs, and other related topics.
- Track hiring metrics for all assigned locations and use data to proactively identify risks to meeting weekly hiring
and headcount targets.
- Engage on-site hiring teams to implement standardized best practices
- Coordinate all on-site hiring events/career fairs for assigned locations.
- Serve as key point of contact for candidates through recruitment and on-boarding to ensure a smooth transition
from former employer.
- Research and connect with recruitment firms specializing in multiple disciplines to source the best and most
qualified talent.
- Negotiate the terms of service with external agencies and actively manage costs, talent quality and overall
process to ensure top quality results.
- Identify new partners as needed to diversify talent pools and uncover new sources of talent.
- Advise senior leadership if/when costs may exceed budget limits; renegotiate terms and/or adjust forecasts to
actively manage expectations

evening or over the weekend.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
2-4 years talent sourcing experience
