Job Summary

The position exists to process refund requests, verify customer eligibility and deny refunds that do not meet requirements by statue and internal processes. This incumbent will also provide a separation of duties needed for internal controls and coverage for miscellaneous tasks in Cashiers as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Math and cash handling skills sufficient to calculate and reconcile transactions,prepare daily deposits, balance and resolve discrepancies in areas like determining eligibility.
  2. Customer Service skills sufficient to provide prompt and courteous interactions with internal and external customers in person, via phone and email.
  3. Typing/keyboard skills sufficient for entry level tasks.
  4. Ability to speak, read, and write in English sufficient to understand be understood in person and in email interactions with team members, DVS staff, and customers

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Ability to independently research and resolve customer problems utilizing expert knowledge in statutes, policies, procedures, and own expertise.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Proficient technical ability to navigate, retrieve and utilize data from a variety of electronic resources such as MNDrive and web-based applications.
  4. Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities

Physical Requirements

Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting light objects frequently. Even though the weights being moved and transported may be a negligible amount, a job in this category may require positioning self to move to a significant degree or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods. )
