Position Summary:

Regional Director- Clinical Services

Drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency in substance use treatment. Lead the development and implementation of innovative programs, ensuring compliance, quality improvement, and standardization across multiple facilities. Leverage clinical expertise, technology, and data analytics to optimize patient outcomes and organizational performance. Serve as a subject matter expert, representing the organization as a leading authority in the field.

Essential Job Duties Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through the development, implementation, and revision of innovative, evidence-based substance use treatment programs. Serve as a subject matter expert, driving industry advancements and representing the organization as a leading authority. Conduct research, build strategic partnerships, and effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences through public speaking and other platforms. Facilitates thought leadership initiatives and opportunities across the larger team.
  • Collaborates with teams to implement and enhance clinical technology solutions, with an initial focus on KIPU EMR implementation at multiple facilities. Identifies underutilized technology features and delivers training and support to maximize the efficient use of resources.
  • Leads standardization of key clinical processes, including early discharge prevention, new patient orientation, family engagement, and stepdown navigation, to enhance consistency and efficiency across multiple facilities.
  • Develops and implements clinical auditing processes to ensure timely, effective documentation. Creates reporting for ongoing monitoring and accountability. Collaborates with facilities to maintain documentation standards.
  • Leads initiatives to develop objective outcome and performance evaluation of clinical services. Assists other corporate and facility staff in setting expectations, developing plans, and managing processes that measure, assess and improve the quality of clinical services at assigned facilities.
  • Collaborates with other corporate and facility staff to develop resources, training, and support initiatives that enhance clinical programming and operations, including evidence-based practices, standardized protocols, and performance improvement tools.
  • Ensures facility compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and accreditation regulations. Assists Corp. Clinical support persons with survey preparation for Joint Commission, CARF, CMS, and state licensing, facilitating accreditation processes and addressing findings collaboratively. Proactively identifies and resolves compliance issues, improves clinical and regulatory practices, and implements changes to meet evolving standards.
  • Works collaboratively with other corporate staff in the development and implementation of Corporate-wide and individual facility performance improvement priorities and PI projects to address quality, safety, and regulatory issues.
  • Investigates, in collaboration with the facility, any quality concerns such as those received from state and federal agencies. Prepares, in collaboration with appropriate disciplines, action plans and submits responses within designated timeframe.
  • Provides timely and thorough verbal and written communication from site visits to facilities and appropriate Regional VPs/Group CEOs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required, to include compliance investigations and special projects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Experience & Knowledge:
  • Five to ten years management experience, with a working knowledge of regulatory/accreditation standards, team development, and clinical services.
Skills:
  • Highly developed organizational, interpersonal and management skills
  • Strong skills in oral and written communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, quality, performance, and risk management information.
Education & Training:
  • Master's Degree required.
Travel Requirements:
  • up to 80% travel required
