Description

The role of the Regional Director of Outpatient Services is to oversee operations across three locations: Shreveport, Alexandria, and Lake Charles. This role demands an active clinical license in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on achieving predefined financial and clinical goals. The Regional Director of Outpatient Services possess a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Essential Functions:
  1. Referral Management: Ensure timely screening and scheduling of referrals, assign therapists/case managers before the patient's start date, and engage in daily monitoring and scheduling of referrals.
  2. Attendance Oversight: Conduct daily reviews of patient attendance, follow up on missed sessions, and ensure proactive communication with patients.
  3. Admissions and Patient Engagement: Oversee the admission process, including the completion of psychosocial and psychological evaluations. Foster a welcoming environment that encourages patient engagement from the first day.
  4. Data Management: Keep referral data current in WellSky, addressing any barriers to admission promptly.
  5. Patient Scheduling: Review and ensure all patients are scheduled appropriately, addressing any issues with compliance or attendance.
  6. Staff Coordination: Lead daily meetings with staff to discuss patient referrals, admissions, and overall patient roster status, maintaining a sense of urgency in patient care and operations.
  7. Achieve financial targets through group sessions: 33,747 (Shreveport), 22,918 (Alexandria), 24,913(Lake Charles) and >.05% uncovered days.
  8. Meet clinical goals (documentation compliance), Patient compliance (Attendance 60%), patient care quality and engagement (% patient satisfaction scores).
  9. Staffing Goals - 80% retention for one year of service.


Requirements

Educational / Experience Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, or related field with active licensure.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in psychiatric and substance abuse treatment.
Qualifications / Skills:
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage multiple locations, and achieve operational goals.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to the atmosphere. Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
