The Regional Economic Development Specialist represents GO-Biz and the REDI team with regional and local economic development practitioners and both serves as a technical assistance provider and connecter to other experts with GO-Biz and the State of California . The specialist will receive direct support and supervision from the Associate Deputy Director. The position will wor k independently and in conjunction with the Regional Investment Initiative Program Manager , Project Financing Manager, and the Regulatory Affairs Manager.
The position may include approximately 25% travel.

The Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) serves as the State of California's leader for job growth and economic development efforts. GO-Biz offers a range of services to business owners including: attraction, retention and expansion services, site selection, permit streamlining, clearing of regulatory hurdles, small business assistance, international trade development, assistance with state government, and much more.
This position is limited-term for 12 months but may be extended to 24 months and/or become permanent.
