  • Other Segment Leaders: Share best practices, challenges, and insights to collectively elevate the procurement function across region. (e.g., other Regional Procurement Leaders, Segment Finance Leaders, Segment Leaders)
  • Regional Procurement Performance: Ensure the achievement of procurement KPIs and targets for the region. (e.g., supplier performance scorecards, spend under management, contract compliance, cost savings, supply assurance, procurement operating metrics, sustainable procurement performance, etc.)
  • Strategy Implementation: Accountable for tailoring and implementing enterprise-wide procurement strategies within the region, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

  • 7+ years of procurement experience and proven subject matter expertise

Competencies and Skills:
  • Depth of Understanding: The RPL needs an in-depth understanding of the industry, market dynamics, technological advancements, regulatory landscape, and how these factors influence procurement.
  • Segment-Centric Skill Development: The RPL should be an advocate for training and development tailored to the segment's needs, ensuring that the procurement team possesses segment-specific skills.
  • Change Management: As procurement strategies evolve, the RPL will often be at the forefront of driving change within the region
  • This requires adeptness in change management and communication.
  • Balancing Central vs. Local Initiatives: While there are enterprise-level strategies, the RPL must discern when a local, regional approach is more suitable.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Beyond qualitative insights, the RPL should be proficient in using data analytics to drive decisions, measure success, and predict future trends.
  • Cross-Segment Collaboration: While each segment may have unique needs, there could be areas of overlap. The RPL should seek synergies across segments to drive efficiencies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Beyond suppliers, the RPL should actively engage with other key stakeholders like regional sales teams, product development units, and even customers to better align procurement processes.
  • Flexibility and Agility: Given that segments might respond differently to market changes, the RPL should foster a culture of agility within the procurement team, allowing rapid adjustments to strategies and operations.
  • Sustainability and Ethical Procurement: The RPL should be attuned to the rising emphasis on sustainable and ethical procurement practices, ensuring segment-specific initiatives align with broader corporate social responsibility goals.
