Job Summary:

The Regional Training and Consultation Specialist is responsible for conducting training in any or all of the Institute's training formats in assigned region(s). The Regional Training and Consultation Specialist will consult with regional field personnel on the dissemination and implementation of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) within and across various sectors of the child welfare system; this position will office remotely.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepares and leads training courses (both online and in-person); monitors and responds to requests and interactions with trainees.
2. Acts as a consultant to the Institute's valued partners in assigned regions of the US and across the world, ensuring successful dissemination and implemention of TBRI.
3. Prepares for and conducts site visits, productive meetings with staff and leadership, observing daily routines, demonstrating key TBRI skills and concepts, administering assessments, and providing feedback and guidance about change at all levels - including child, family, department, organization, and community.
4. Assists Institute staff in the assessment of regional needs around specific TBRI resources as well as the development, evaluation, and implementation of TBRI resources.
5. Interfaces with Institute partners who are collaborating in resource development, developing training curricula and materials, identifying core skills and concepts for the resource under development, identifying and applying best practices for training, evaluating resources at all stages of development, and ultimately training others in the application and implementation of the resources.
6. Assists Institute staff in aspects of the Institute's mission besides training, including education, research, and outreach.
7. Represents the Institute at scientific or professional conferences, and communicating as a liaison with members of the Institute's partner network.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field of study plus 3 years' experience in a professional capacity working with children, families, or child-serving organizations/systems
OR
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 7 plus years' experience in a professional capacity working with children, families, or child-serving organizations/systems.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Leadership role in the practice and implementation of TBRI

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Fingerprint and background check clearance required upon hire.

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• TBRI Practitioner
• Licensed professional in a related field (e.g., counseling, case management)
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

• Skill in working with children and families.
• Skill in communicating with other professionals in individual and group settings.
• Ability to train large groups of people
• Ability to work with at-risk children of all ages and from different backgrounds.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a digital work environment (e.g., MS Office, Zoom, web applications).
• Ability to travel on a regular basis

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
