Summary

The Regional Vice President of Operations is responsible for oversight of assigned region as it relates to implementation and maintenance of administrative practices, agency philosophy, goals, and policies which assure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, coordinating and completing assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and long range objectives of the company, enhancing the profitability of assigned agencies. and providing motivation and retention of a qualified staff and assure the quality of services delivered. This position also acts as a liaison with management staff and other departments throughout the company.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting and or exceeding annual operating margin and net revenue budget expectations.

  • Responsible for increasing market share.
  • \n
  • Recruiting and Retention: Timely review with Human Resources and agency leaders on all People decisions including, but not limited to, terminations, suspensions, new hires, talent reviews and grievances as needed for assigned region.
  • \n
  • Oversees each agency's staffing model and approves appropriate changes as needed.
  • \n
  • Oversees the current budget, and develops the budget forecast for each location for the following year.
  • \n
  • Works with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards in assigned.
  • \n
  • Assists in identifying and implementing Business Development opportunities in assigned regions/areas as needed.
  • \n
  • Ensures profitability while maintaining appropriate levels of patient care through the coordination of financial, clinical, operational, legal and business development services for assigned regions/areas.
  • \n
  • Conducts weekly conference calls with Executive Director's and Performance Improvement Coordinators (PICs). Reviews overall operations, clinical processes, business development opportunities and possible adverse trends/concerns with Executive Director's and performance issues with the PICs.
  • \n
  • Reports to the Division President / Division Vice President on operational, patient care/ clinical, and business developmental concerns for locations as needed.
  • \n
  • Reviews weekly metrics reports and follows up on negative trends and develops action plans needed.
  • \n
  • Participates in divisional monthly operations reviews for assigned division.
  • \n
  • Reviews and submits any agency expenses. Reviews, approves, and signs off on any assigned employee's expenses.
  • \n
  • Reviews location performance in the six pillars and develops plans to ensure goals are met.
  • \n
  • Reviews annual employee satisfaction results for locations with the appropriate Executive Director's. Assists with the development of action plans.
  • \n
  • Oversight of assigned home health provider and branch agencies within the Region, providing leadership and mentoring to site manager for the purpose of maintaining profitability while providing quality patient care.
  • \n
  • Collaborates strongly with the Sales Leadership team to drive business development and growth.
  • \n
  • Guidance to agency managers in hiring and retaining quality staff to ensure appropriateness of agency staffing.
  • \n
  • All other duties assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • \n
  • Experience: 3 years in a home health leadership role.
