The Cath Lab at UH Elyria Medical center is a small group of dedicated cardiac professionals who enjoy the challenge of diagnosing and treating cardiac patients, and caring for them at some of the most stressful times in their lives. • Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
• Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. ACLS/PALS may be required based on clinical area standards.

Qualifications - External

• 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio required.
• Current BLS and ACLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
• Preferred experience: ICU, ED, Cath/EP Lab; will orient nurses to critical care if no critical care experience
• Professional Certification from approved organization preferred.

Shift:

• Hours: 8hr and 10 shifts
• 8 hours: 7:00am-3:30 pm; 10's are 630-5
• Call Requirement: 30 minutes arrival to hospital after page
