A Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) is a highly skilled nursing professional who specializes in providing patient care to individuals with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires specialized knowledge and expertise in the field of cardiovascular health and disease. The following are some of the key responsibilities of a Cardiac RN:
Patient assessment: conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their cardiovascular health needs and develop care plans.
Medication administration: administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians to manage cardiovascular conditions.
Monitoring patients: observing and monitoring patients' conditions and vital signs, and reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
Providing direct patient care: assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing emotional support, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals: working with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
Maintaining medical records: keeping accurate and up-to-date medical records and documenting patient care activities.
Education and training: participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advances in cardiovascular care.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a current RN license and several years of experience as a registered nurse in a cardiovascular health setting. Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are also important qualities for this role. Additionally, experience with cardiovascular disease and a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology is highly desirable.
This is a not full time but contracted travel position.
