**This position is for FULL TIME Day/Nights. This position would compromise of 3-12hr shifts per week and would be 70% days and 30% nights.

Cardiovascular Stepdown (CVSD) Highlights:

The Cardiovascular Step-Down Unit at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital specializes in the care of pre- and post-operative open heart, vascular, and thoracic patients, managing approximately 30-50 cases per month. This high-acuity unit is equipped to handle patients requiring advanced monitoring, including multiple lines and drips. With an average patient length of stay between 1-4 days, the unit also accommodates boarders as needed.
The unit comprises 18 private beds, designed to provide optimal care and comfort for patients during their recovery process.

Qualifications:
Current RN licensure
Experience in an ICU setting, preferably with cardiovascular patients
Strong skills in rhythm recognition and critical thinking

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
