1. Perform appropriate assessments to include psychological, physical, environmental & functional needs.

2. Provide patient & family education specific to the patient's disease process.

3. Serve as a resource for education for patient, family, staff, hospital & community.

4. Communicate with all members of the transplant team to include hospital staff & referring physician/staff

5. Participate in the collection/entry of data in the patient medical record as required by all regulatory agencies

6. Document assessments, interventions & follow-up accurately & timely

7. Coordinate care through the phases of transplantation with the transplant team.

What qualifications you will need:
  1. Mandatory: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
    1. Prefer: BSN
  2. Mandatory: Minimum 1 year RN experience
  3. Mandatory: Valid Texas RN License & BLS
  4. Prefer: Strong critical thinking skills
  5. Prefer: Indirect patient care over the phone. There will be in-person but the majority of the time is spent on the phone with patients. Won't be using majority of RN skills.
