Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Days - Dialysis Unit for Texas Health Arlington Memorial

Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 West Randol Mill Rd. Arlington, TX 76012

Work hours: Full-time, Day Shift - 3/12 hour shifts/week with rotating call

  • Work environment: Inpatient Dialysis Department - Chronically ill dialysis patients with multiple diagnoses such as renal disease, kidney failure, chronic kidney disease etc.

Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire required
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 1 year of acute dialysis is preferred

  • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
