A Registered professional Dialysis nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care to a mainly geriatric population through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Also directs and guides patient teaching, activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY:

Supervises LPN's, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Unit Secretaries.

Reports to Clinical Coordinator and Nursing Supervisor.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusett

• Basic Life Support

EXPERIENCE:

• Three years Hemodialysis experience required.
