Job Description:
The Nurse Educator, an experienced Registered Nurse with specialized expertise, plays a crucial role in enhancing patient safety and care quality. They are accountable for managing programs/projects, assessing competencies, conducting orientations, evaluating knowledge, implementing evidence-based practices, and coordinating continuous learning activities that foster professional growth. As a guide and mentor, the Nurse Educator delivers education and training to staff within the Surgery and Sterile Processing Departments, working with both new hires and current employees.

Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
    • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Wisconsin upon hire
    • ACLS certification required within six months of hire
    • PALS highly encouraged
    • Completion of surgery nursing certification within one year of eligibility require
    • Minimum of five years of patient care experience preferred and demonstrated competency in the educational or business leadership role.
