Job Summary: - Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. - Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. - Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. - Communicates with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patients status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. - Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Skill/Education Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least six months Registered Nurse experience. - Prefer previous ED or acute care experience. Exceptions made based on experience and work history. - Current Colorado Registered Nurse license. - TNCC within one year of hire. - ACLS & PALS required. - One year of Emergency Department experience and 1-2 years of acute care experience required.
