LOCATION: Texas Health Plano is located at 6020 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

SCHEDULE: Full time Days-40 hrs per week

HERE's WHAT YOU NEED:

EDUCATION:

• Diploma of Nursing OR associate degree in nursing required.

• BSN preferred.

• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required

EXPERIENCE:

• One Year experience as a clinical nurse

• One year of Med Surg in an acute care setting

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

• BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon-prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support-within 90 days of hire required.

• PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support-within 90 days of hire required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED DO:

• Complete regular assessments and maintenance of comfort

• Have knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology

• Have knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort/theories.

• Use barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations

• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record

• Complete assessments accurately and in a timely manner

• Individualize care plans specific to the needs of the patient

• Perform other duties as assigned
