Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, per-diem, Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The RN will play a critical role in providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role ensures patient safety, monitors patient conditions, and collaborates with the surgical team for optimal outcomes.

The Registered Nurse provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. This role ensures safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in perioperative services across all patient populations. The Registered Nurse supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization and reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

This role operates between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
