Work location: Texas Health Azle: 108 Denver Trail Azle, TX 76020

Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Day Shift 7a - 7p; minimum requirement: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirements

Texas Health Azle is a 36-bed, community-based hospital serving the tri-county area since the 1950s. We provide exceptional care to the suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown and surrounding areas.

We're accredited through The Joint Commission for disease specific care of Chest Pain patients and we are accredited through the Texas Department of Health & Human Services as a Level IV Support Stroke facility, a Level IV Trauma Center and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. We specialize in outpatient surgery, rehabilitative physical and hand therapy, and advanced imaging like mammography and CT scanning. Here's what you need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS - within 90 days of hire
• CPI - within 90 days of hire
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse required
• 1 year of experience as an RN in ICU preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

• demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
