Unit 2G is a high-tempo, high acuity 14-bed medical ICU that specializes in multi-organ/system failure or dysfunction. They take an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and consider teamwork to be their foremost attribute. 2G is consistently staffed with a team of medical residents and fellows which promotes an environment of collaboration and learning.

Unit 2G takes pride in developing strong nurses on the unit. The orientation period is 14-16 weeks with experienced preceptors and includes 8 weeks of classes that incorporate AACN critical care education modules. New graduate nurses will also experience the CCNE accredited Nurse Residency Program.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
\r

\r
• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
\r
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
\r
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
