Nurses on 2C\rcare for variety of acutely ill medical- surgical and behavioral health adults\rand their families. Patients on this\runit are admitted with a variety of diagnoses as well as behavioral health\rdiagnoses. It is a great unit to gain experience as a medical-surgical nurse\rand be exposed to a wide variety of nursing skills and patient populations. The\r2C nurses work closely with the hospitalists, psychiatry, medical-surgical\rresidents, physical/occupational therapists, and social workers with the goal\rof providing safe and high- quality care to our patients. Nurses seek to\rimprove care for medical-surgical and behavioral health patients through\rnurse-led, evidence-based principles, tools, and education.
This 31-bed\runit is a great place to become an expert Med/Surg nurse and be exposed to a\rvariety of surgical nursing skills. The staff and nurses on 2C are highly\rskilled, motivated, and committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
\r
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
\r

\r
• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
\r
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
\r
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
