Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Night Shift 7p - 7a; minimum requirement: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirements

What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Texas Health Denton is the city's only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.

- The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10-step facility with the "Best Place to Have a Baby" designation. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
- The unit has 23 beds Postpartum/Newborn, Couplet Care, 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 Antepartum rooms and 4 private OB/ED beds
- Level III NICU with 16 beds with private rooms
- The unit delivers an average between 175-200 a month.
- OB Hospitalist 24/7
- Anesthesiologist dedicated to L&D 24/7
- Brand new Women's Tower that opened July 2022
Here's What You Need
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days required
- STABLE Program within 6 months of hire
- 1 year experience as a Registered nurse required
- Mother Baby experience preferred
