Summary
  • Position Summary
    • The new Graduate RN is responsible for performing various duties in the care of patients in accordance with established protocols, policies and procedures at Western Maine Health (Stephen's). In the New Graduate Program, the new nurse is working progressively towards competency and independence in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The program is intended to support the new graduate nurse in making the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Active RN license. RQI BLS Certification within first 30 days of employment
    • Experience: N/A
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff
    • Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination
    • Proficient computer skills
