A Brief Overview
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.

Qualifications:
Parma 7 is a 36 bed Surgical unit that provides care to those who are acutely ill or injured, requiring pre-operative and post-operative care. Patients are admitted before and/or after surgery. Turnover with patients is rapid and the typical patient stay is 2-3 days.

New Grad RNs who accept a position with Parma 7 are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and the Loan Repayment program offering up to $15,000. Please ask your recruiter for details!

Education Qualifications

• Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing or
• (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
• (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Required Upon Hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within Orientation
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
