Job Description:

As a PRN Perioperative RN at Advanced Surgery Center of Northern Louisiana, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing various pain relieving surgical procedures. Working closely with our experienced surgical team, you will contribute to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement patient care during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, providing appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with anesthesia administration.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of Louisiana.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
• Longevity in past roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
