Psychiatric ED Unit Highlights

Specialized psychiatric emergency unit, located within the Main ED.

Patients are triaged through the Main ED & brought to crisis unit if psychiatric care is needed.

RNs care for them & complete assessments as the patients wait for evaluations.

Adult & pediatric patients are treated.

Security has a strong partnership & presence with the unit.

Staffed with psychiatric counselors and RNs.

Cross-training to adult inpatient psychiatric and Child & Adolescent Psych Unit provided.

Available Roles:

Part Time Night Psych ED: two 12-hour shifts & every 3 rd weekend, 7p-7:30a (fully benefitted)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required; bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Bachelor's degree in nursing enrollment required within 6 months of start date and completion within 3 years

Experience

• 1 year RN experience. 1 year of acute care RN experience; at least one year of inpatient psych or Psych ED RN experience strongly preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN-Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required upon hire. CPR certification

This position has a hiring range of $35 - $56.91
