Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse - Team Lead with our Inpatient/Outpatient Dialysis Unit to join our team!

The Registered Nurse Team Lead (TL) understands and supports the philosophy and policies and procedures of Aspirus. The Registered Nurse Team Lead works collaboratively to produce, nurture and sustain a professional practice and healthy work environment that affords and enhances patient care experience, effectiveness, and efficiency through leadership to multidisciplinary teams, effective physician relationships and a shared vision and dedication to the future of Aspirus. The TL has accountability for the overall coordination of all the Registered Nurses and other healthcare providers within a specific department. In collaboration with the formal leadership is responsible for overseeing the functioning of the department which includes participation in direct patient care as well as ensuring appropriate resources to provide safe, high quality patient care.

HOURS: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. Day Shift.

This position is eligible for the Sign On Bonus.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Must have current, valid Registered Nurse license.
  • RN: Minimum of six months recent clinical experience required, with a minimum of one year preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating/processing referrals and/or at least one year's experience in a home health, hospice, or community health setting strongly preferred.
  • Possesses an active Wisconsin or Michigan RN nursing license within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have the clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide coordination of patient care consistent with the standards and regulations.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult the supervisor.
  • Must have knowledge of current home health and hospice administration criteria.
  • Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities and have excellent telephone, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and customer service, both internally and externally, is required.
  • Must have strong/proven data entry and general computer skills.
