RN Transplant Surgery  

Full-Time Days  

Up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus offered and relocation available for eligible candidates and positions  

Plaza Medical Center is a 320-bed MAGNET hospital located in downtown Fort Worth.  

Seeking a full-time O.R. RN to join our Transplant team.  

No transplant experience required  

The National Kidney Registry (NKR) recently honored the Fort Worth Transplant Institute at Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth with an “Excellence in Teamwork Award” for being part of the largest kidney swap in U.S. history.  

The chain of kidney transplants involved 70 recipients and donors, including a Fort Worth patient who received a kidney at Plaza through the national swap.  

Fort Worth Transplant Institute Surgical Director George Rofaiel, M.D., and the institute’s Medical Director Sridhar Allam, M.D., accepted the award for the Plaza transplant team at the NKR’s “Seventh Annual Season of Miracles Awards Gala” at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.  

The Plaza Medical Center was just ranked #2 in the nation for kidney transplant survival.  

Under the supervision of the director/manager or designee, the registered nurse provides holistic, individualized patient care in response to identified needs.  

Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.  

Qualifications  

Education and Training Experience Required  

Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing  

BSN preferred due to MAGNET Status  




CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:  

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

RN with current licensure or RN with a temporary permit to practice from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas  

Current BCLS certification  

Specialty Certification preferred  

Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support
