Job Profile

JOB SUMMARY: Prepare and dispense prescribed medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist while ensuring excellence in patient care, patient safety and patient satisfaction. Adhere to all state, federal, organizational, and departmental regulations and guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Successful completion of technician competency as defined by management; High School Diploma/GED; Registered by Texas State Board of Pharmacy & in good standing; IV certification preferred, MTM Certification preferred

Work Experience (Years and Area): Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician; 2 years experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred

Additional Requirements:
  • IV Sterile certification
  • Job responsibility would include working in Outpatient and IV compounding


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
