Responsibilities
- Provide direct invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary exams and procedures.
- Administer, monitor and record medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians including, but not limited to, setting up and maintaining patient ventilation, and performing arterial blood gas procedures.
- Set up, maintain and monitor equipment and notifies designated management of malfunctions.
- Attend professional meetings and maintains credentials and/or licensure.
- Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures.
- Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
- Communicate and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
- Cooperate & interact with superiors, peers, other departments, & all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Program. Related experience may be substituted for related education
- Current NM Respiratory Care License
- BLS
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in related field
- One (1) year of related experience
- AARC Membership
- National Specialty Certification
- PALS, NRP, or ACLS may be required by facility/department
