Work Hours/Shift: Full Time Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. On campus no hybrid.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Responsible for organization of a centralized variance and monitor review process for Medical Transport Services. Collaborates with Manager, Operations Manager, EMS Supervisors and Medical Director for best practice and development of strategies for improvement. Brings compliance updates to team meetings and re-educates staff on best practice protocols.
  • Audits 100% of ePCR (medical record) charts and data necessary to complete audit based on defined audit plan criteria. Based on compliance and/or trends, creates special audit(s) as needed. Performs audits to ensure 100% compliance with Regulatory Agency requirements (Federal and State regulations) identifying errors that could potentially extend days in Accounts Receivables. Completes chart reviews and develops compliance variance reports on an ongoing basis reporting timely at the close of each month.
  • To ensure integrity of ePCR , identifies error trends or compliance concerns during audit process in order to create specialized audit plans. Coordinates and communicates critical errors to Leadership and/or Department Educator via email or through scheduled meetings providing training tools and appropriate documentation for decreased revenue losses.
  • Presents Audit in-service training to new hires at department orientation, as scheduled, in order to effectively introduce audit processes and criteria; providing the necessary tools which assist new hires in meeting their documentation goals. Provides ongoing educational tools or tracking report outcomes, to improve processes and work flows including programming requests, process changes, and staff accuracy and efficiencies.


Qualifications
What You Will Need:

Required:
  • Discretion when discussing personnel/patient related issues that are confidential in nature
  • Basic computer skills using MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and Right CAD system
  • Proficiency in performance of basic math functions, communicating professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Two years of applicable clinical or didactic experience

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of core measures, public reporting, and process improvement
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing OR Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • Five years equivalent clinical or didactic experience
  • Current, valid State of Florida license as a registered professional nurse.
