Reimbursement Analyst

A client of Insight Global is looking for a remote reimbursement analyst to join a major healthcare system. This analyst will be working within the physician billing reserve team. The main responsibility of this analyst will be to work with 6 workbooks for the physician group (3 bad debt and 3 contractuals) in order to understand what is flowing through Epic to the general ledger. The goal of this position is to use this data to establish better rates between this hospital and what insurance companies are willing to pay for. Other responsibilities of this analyst will include month end close work, posting journal entries, revenue balancing, end of month calculations, review AR data each month, work/manipulate large amounts of data and anything else the team is needing. This analyst will need to be advanced in excel, self-motivated, enjoy data analytics, and willing to learn more about reimbursement. This is a fully remote position but must sit in NC, SC, GA, VA, AL, FL, KY, MI, ME, VT, ID, or WA.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Systems
3-5 years of accounting/reimbursement/data analyst experience
Possess effective analytical and communication skills
Advanced skills in Excel- Pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Healthcare experience
Experience working with epic
