Rate: $60-65/hr.
Our client is looking for a Program Manager with prior Release Train Engineer experience to join their team. The ideal candidate should have prior insurance industry knowledge or experience and be able to escalate and track issues or impediments, prioritize risk, and coordinate with delivery teams. This person should be proactive, solutions oriented, and willing to actively jump in to identify and resolve issues and risks. They will be working with teams to understand timelines and deviations and maintain a strong understanding of where overall project delivery stands. The Program Manager must have exposure to technical projects, understand the software development lifecycle, and how to work on software integration/migration projects.
Project Details:
  • Workstreams: Manage 5 workstreams including integration, foundational work, and development.
  • Integration Projects: Oversee integration with 15 downstream systems for go-live.
  • Feature Mapping: Map features for integration projects, estimate effort, and assign release schedules.
  • Volume Management: Handle 300 features across 15 teams and 4 workstreams (conversion, renewal, digital, scalable).
  • Ongoing Maintenance: Manage ongoing maintenance, risk, and partner integration.
Responsibilities:
  • Timeline Creation: Develop timelines for integrating partners using PowerPoint or Excel.
  • Coordination: Work with testing teams to create timelines for each workstream.
  • Issue Management: Escalate and track issues, prioritize risks, and coordinate with delivery teams.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Actively identify and resolve issues, maintain project delivery status.
  • SAFe Principles: Apply SAFe principles and lean Agile methodologies, with some Waterfall elements.
Role Summary:
  • Technical Exposure: Experience with technical projects and software development lifecycle.
  • Agile Environment: Understand SAFe principles, focus on transparency and metrics.
  • Communication: Provide updates to leaders and delivery teams, participate in planning and status meetings.
Required Experience:
  • Understanding of home insurance processes and downstream systems.
  • 5+ years in program management or RTE.
  • Exposure to technical/software development projects.
  • Experience with JIRA and Rally.
  • Strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving.
Preferred Experience:
  • Scaled Agile and SAFe certifications.
  • Downstream Systems: Billing, document management, claims, pricing, and rating (Earnix), data dashboards.
