Description

SAIC is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our energized Engineering Innovation Factory Team of solution architects and digital engineers to define and build the infrastructure that fuels the Digital Engineering Transformation across our entire industry. Our work creating digital ecosystems span an exciting variety of programs, customers and corporate initiatives requiring Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering applications and infrastructure deployed in Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or National Security environments. This job can be worked remotely anywhere within the U.S.

As part of our Engineering Innovation Factory Team, you will engage with other digital engineering subject matter experts and foster broader understanding of sustainment to assist them in developing digital work products. You will also be required to engage with the larger community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities, and to mentor others on our solutions and standards.

Required:
  • Perform reliability, maintainability, availability analysis (RAM), logistics and sustainment analysis, sparing analysis, and simulations which support military and industry standards
  • Recommend design or test methods and statistical analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
  • Compile and analyze performance reports and process statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables affecting RAM
  • Experience with modeling and analysis tools, such as ReliaSoft, Relyence, Ansys Medini, etc, for Probabilistic Risk Assessment and other RAM type analysis
  • Prefer experience working with Agile Development
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of experience in sustainment, and/or integrated product support, and/or logistics. Masters and 7+ years of experience. PhD or JD and 4+ years or more experience. Will consider an additional 4+years of experience in lieu of education
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance as needed
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment
Desired Skills:
  • Experience or Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Knowledge of DODI 5000.02 and JCIDS process
  • Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes
  • Minimum one active professional certification or academic certificate obtained within the last five years, related to the specialty disciplines, e.g., ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, INCOSE ASEP or CSEP
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools (i.e., SySML tools, DOORS, Cameo, SysML or IBM)
  • Experience with data analysis software (e.g., miniTab, R, SPSS, python, tableau, excel, etc)
