Remote Application Security Engineer

Insight global is looking for a Remote Application Security Engineer for a Cybersecurity Company in the Bay Area. This engineer will be heavily involved in conducting thorough security assessments and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities, particularly using program languages like Go. They will work closely with developers to integrate security measures and ensure that the applications adhere to standard security practices and frameworks. We can pay 70-82/hour.

Required Skills & Experience

3-6 years of experience as an Application Security Engineer.
Strong background within security -triaging vulnerability (not a developer)
Technical aptitude with Go code reviews or Ruby
Knowledge of standard security standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST).
Ability to multitask and work cross-functionally with engineers to help walk through bug fixes.
Kubernetes Experience for container scanning
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Azure or AWS
