TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Java Developer. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. SUMMARY

The Remote Java Developer provides support to develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online. Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced computer programming skills in Java/J2EE, PL SQL, Web Services/Design/Development and APIs.
  • 2+ years advanced computer programming skills in JSF 2.x/Prime Faces, JSP.
  • 4+ years advanced computer programming skills in JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX
  • Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Java/J2EE, WebServices/Design/Development and APIs, JSP, JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, JavaScript, HTML.
  • Basic LINUX usage (navigating, reading files, Sudo commands).
  • Familiar with control-M jobs / POB system, as well as the basics of how the AFT system works. We use AFT to package and export data downstream to MIRS and CDAS.
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Change management and configuration management using VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Software knowledge: Rational Application Developer, SQL/SQL Plus, PuTTY/WinSCP, Websphere, Subversion, familiar with control-M jobs and basic of how AFT system works, GCP or AWS Cloud Development.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Public Trust Security clearance.
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.
